Account and browser
Wearm uses your name and email for your account. Passwords are stored as salted password hashes. Essential session cookies maintain sign-in and request protection. Browser microphone access is requested when you start voice capture; stop the session to end capture.
Translation processing
Text or microphone audio submitted for translation is sent through the Wearm backend to OpenAI for AI processing. Translated speech is generated by AI. Wearm hosting runs on SiteGround. Temporary jobs and audio are encrypted in the service database and available for up to 30 minutes; expiration ends access, while physical removal follows the cleanup process. These statements describe Wearm storage; the providers have their own data practices.
Saved conversations
Original and translated text is saved encrypted under your account until you delete the conversation. Audio is not saved in permanent conversation history. Deletion removes the active saved text and stops associated work. Backups may retain data separately; an exact backup retention period has not yet been published. This is not end-to-end encryption: Wearm and its AI processor must process the content to translate it.
Other data
The public pages do not load advertising, external fonts or third-party analytics scripts. Hosting may retain technical access logs. The current beta does not collect payment cards or operate a paid checkout. A future checkout will disclose its payment processor and additional data handling before paid sales begin.
Your choices and questions
You can stop the microphone, delete individual conversations and manage signed-in sessions from your account. For account removal or other data questions, contact info@wearm.net. An automated full account-deletion feature is not currently offered. Only submit speech and personal information you are entitled to share, and make other participants aware of AI processing.
